Preparation
Ensure the vehicle is parked in a safe place and the engine is turned off.
Prepare the new rearview mirror assembly, a screwdriver (Phillips or flathead), calipers, gloves, and other tools.
Removing the Old Rearview Mirror
Removing the Housing: Locate the screws on both sides of the rearview mirror and remove them with a screwdriver. Then, pry off the rearview mirror housing with your hands or a screwdriver.
Disconnecting the Wires: Locate the wiring harness connected to the rearview mirror on the back and carefully disconnect the wires.
Removing the Old Rearview Mirror: Locate the retaining screw at the bottom of the rearview mirror and remove it with a screwdriver.
Installing the New Rearview Mirror
Cleaning the Installation Location: Clean dust and dirt around the rearview mirror hole to ensure a smooth installation of the new mirror.
Connecting the Wires: Connect the power cable of the new rearview mirror to its original location and ensure it is securely connected. Attaching the mirror: Insert the new mirror into the mirror housing and tighten the bottom retaining screw with a screwdriver.
Assembling the housing: Reinstall the mirror housing onto the vehicle and tighten the screws on both sides with a screwdriver.
Testing and Inspection
Start the vehicle and test the new mirror for proper operation, including adjustment and heating (if equipped).
Check that all wires and screws are properly connected and tightened.
